29 October marks the first ARPANET session. Get 15% off VPS orders and renewals with promo code ARPANET15, valid through 3 November.

On 29 October 1969 the first session between two ARPANET nodes took place. Of the word LOGIN, only "LO" went through that evening: the link dropped on the second letter. About an hour later the session was repeated successfully. That is where the history of the global network began, the network without which no server and no IT project exists today.

To mark the date, WeaselCloud gives 15% off orders and renewals of virtual servers.
